Our Norandino cooperative

Cocoa, Trees & Climate Action project

We maintain long-standing partnerships with the smallholder cooperatives that grow the cocoa for our chocolate. We support them with challenges such as new regulations or adapting to the climate crisis. One of these cooperatives is Norandino from Peru, which brings together 6000 cocoa, coffee and cane sugar smallholders. In Peru, extreme droughts and heavy rainfall are increasing due to the climate crisis, making cocoa more susceptible to diseases and pests. Together with Norandino, we therefore developed the Cocoa, Trees & Climate Action project, which promotes ecological and climate-resilient agriculture.
