Project Update: "Cocoa, Trees and Climate Action"
Since the beginning of 2025, we have been working with the smallholder cocoa cooperative Norandino and the agroforestry experts at Ecotop on a dynamic cocoa agroforestry project in the Peruvian Amazon.
Over the past few months, eight pilot plots have been established together with motivated farmers. These plots serve as living classrooms where farmers can observe how dynamic agroforestry systems develop over time, exchange experiences with one another, and explore how they can strengthen climate resilience, biodiversity, and sustainable cocoa production.
In July, our project coordinator Manuel Holzer visited the project in Peru. In this short video, he shares impressions from the field and provides an insight into how the project is taking shape together with local farmers and partners.
